This Grave appears to be the only grave in the area with a monument of any description. Was told me by Bert Knight that many were thought to be slave graves around Washington's Grave, some marked by field stones some not at all.

Wm. Whiting Washington is said to be 2nd Cousin to George Washington, and Brother to Fairfax Washington buried somewhere in this County, as yet unknown.

This Information is referenced from the Logan County Cemeteries book of 2001.

Past researched by Betty Cates, and Viola Pate in 1984.

Prior annotation were confirmed accurate by:

Contributors : Thelbert (Bert) Knight , also for the Photo and information I got from Bert, 4-2020
