ERNEST SHARP
(1893-1963)
Memphis - Ernest Sharp, 69, of the Memphis community, Highland Route 1, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenfield Hospital where he was admitted last week after a two month illness. His first wife, the former Edna Jane Taylor, died in 1929. His present wife, Iva Jane Vincent Sharp, survives. He spent most of his life as a carpenter in Wayne Township where he was born.
Mr. Sharp was born Aug. 22, 1893, the son of Lewis M. and Della May Davis Sharp, and was a member of the Modern Woodmen.
Also surviving are a son, Donald E. of Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Hook of Xenia and Mrs. Opal Cummings of Jamestown Route 2; two brothers, Thomas of Sabina and Harold of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Jane Thomas of Port William and Mrs. Frances Newbrey of Sabina.
Services will be conducted at the Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, Friday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Howard Yates. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery, Lees Creek. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday.
