Myerl Foster Rhodes , 82, of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, May 18, 1999 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Born June 15, 1916 in Buena Vista, she was the daughter of the late William Foster and Mamie Camden Foster Benson.
She was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ernest Rhodes, brothers, Robert Foster, Elbert "Mookie" Foster, Dennis Benson, Mike Benson and Attle Benson and sisters, Delcie Simpson and Annie Jester.
She is survived by her daughters, Alice Mae Rhodes Winn and husband, Lewis of Buena Vista, Linda Rhodes Inge and husband Tommy of Hampton; grandchildren, Myrica Winn Keiser and husband Stockton of Buena Vista, Cynthia Winn and fiance Clay Humphreys of Waynesboro, John Inge and wife Nancy, David Inge and wife Elizabeth, Shannon Buccelato and husband Salvatore, Heather Drummond and husband Brad, all of the Hampton Roads area; great-grandchildren, Michelle Keiser and fiance Brian Clark and Derek Keiser of Buena Vista, Kyle Clark, Matthew Inge, Drew Inge, Kaitlyn Inge, Rhyan Wilson, Stephen Drummond and Taylor Drummond, all of the Hampton Roads area; and two sisters, Minnie Brown of Buena Vista and Dorothy Lumpkin Sandston.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 1999 at the Stone Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Chester Fisher, officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
