CAPT. LAWRENCE T. DURANT
Captain Lawrence T. Durant died in Tucson, Ariz., Sept. 6.He had been a resident of Winter Park for the past three and a half years.

He was a veteran of the last World War and a captain in the Ordnance Department. He was born in Saratoga, N.Y., Sept. 7, 1888.

He is survived by his widow, Phyllis Krannich Durant. His father, William West Durant, was the developer of the Adirondacks and once owned 750,000 mountain acres. His grandfather, Dr. Thomas Clark Durant, was vice-president and general manager of the Union Pacific Railroad.

Services will be held at the Carey Hand Chapel on Sunday at 4 P.M. The Rev. Melville E. Johnson will officiate. Interment will be later at Greenwood Cemetery, New York.
