Ila Acy Shute Nobles, 88, of Sidon, died Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Golden Age Nursing Home. Private graveside services will be 12 p.m. Sunday, at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Carroll County, MS. Rev. Larry Edwards will officiate.

Mrs. Nobles was born January 17, 1932 in Carroll County, MS, to Thomas Jefferson Acy, Sr. and Leola Mosley Acy.

She resided in Carroll County most of her life. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and retired as a seamstress for Rockey Manufacturing in Greenwood.

She was preceded in death by

her son, Roy Allen Holeman;

grandson, Jerry Hughes, Jr.;

brothers, Marvin Acy and Alvin Acy; and

her parents.

She is survived by
her husband, Nathan Nobles of Sidon, MS;
son, Billy Carl Holeman of Black Hawk, MS;

three daughters, Dianne Shuler of Kosciusko, MS, Laverne Nichols of Kosciusko, MS, and Debra Minga of Black Hawk, MS;

sister, Nila Steen of Coila, MS;

brother, Thomas Jefferson Acy, Jr. of Coila, MS,

eight grandchildren,

thirteen great grandchildren, and

six great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Steve Flanagan, Joey McLellan, Jason Beckum, Hunter Flanagan, Malone Dunn, and Larry Acy. Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Acy.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
