James A. Mills, 66, 276 E. Eighth St., died Wednesday, May 3, 1978, at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. He had been ill for two weeks.
Born in Peru July 14, 1911, he was the son of Robert L. and Margaret Nielson Mills. He was married April 21, 1934, to Louise Mooney, who survives.
He was retired from Bailey's Manufacturing Company and had lived here all his life.
Also surviving are three sons, James A. Jr., John W., and Terry A., all of Peru; one daughter, Evelyn Townsend, San Rafael, Calif.; one brother, Robert, Fort Wayne; one sister, Gertrude Mills, Peru, and three grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
