Fred V. Martin, 74, of Moreland passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020. Born February 17, 1946, he was the son of the late Elmer Lewis and Virginia Kennedy Martin. Fred was a US Navy Veteran and a graduate of McKinney High School Class of 1964. He owned and operated McKinney Depot Restaurant. He was a retired American General Insurance Agent and was an elder at McKinney Christian Church. Fred is survived by his wife of 46 years, daughter, son, grandchildren , brothers, sisters. He was preceded in death by daughter, Melissa Martin and brothers, Carl and Russell Martin. A private visitation will be held at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. A private Graveside Service will be held at Buffalo Springs Cemetery with Bro. Greg Starbuck officiating. Honorary pallbearers (not in attendance) will be Terry Wilcher, Jerry Walls, Levi Walls, Ray Kersey, Rodney Johnson, Jason Elliott, Herb Toombs, and Donald Moore. Memorial contributions are suggested to McKinney Christian Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
