Lois was born Jan. 23, 1925 in Nashville, MO. She attended Kansas State Teachers College in Pittsburg, KS and lived in Oronogo, MO for thirty-five years. In 1960 she moved to the Kansas City area. She was the office manager for the Heart Mobile Village for thirty-one years, retiring in 1991. Lois was a member of the Blue Ridge Blvd. First Christian Church, Eastern Star of Independence, MO, Rebecca Lodge, White Shrine, and Tan Tara Court. She was a great cook and loved people.
Lois was preceded in death by husbands Eugene F. Garretson and A.J. Thrasher; sister Edith Lemmons Reno; brothers Maurice “Bud” Bauer, Ray Bauer and J.C. “Jay” Bauer. She is survived by son Gerald “Jerry” Garretson and wife Linda, Blue Springs, MO; brother Rex Bauer and wife Darlene, Jasper, MO; grandchildren Eric Garretson and wife Sara, Overland Park, KS; Rachelle Garretson, Blue Springs, MO; great-grand dog Angel and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
