Mrs. Gertrude Tardiff, long a resident of Dover-Foxcroft, died Dec. 17 in Bangor. She was born in Medford 57 years ago, the daughter of Everett and Annie Lancaster Woodard but soon came with her family to this town where she had spent the greater part of her life. Her husband was Joseph Tardiff whose death occurred several years ago. Mrs. Tardiff was a very industrious woman and esteemed by many friends. Surviving her are 2 sisters, Mrs. Ada Knapp and Mrs. Maurice Page, and 2 brothers, Ralph and Charles Woodard, all of this town. Services were held Friday afternoon at the Lary parlors, Rev. Lloyd Osborne, officiating, and burial was in the Dover cemetery. Bearers were C. A. and E. F. Merrill, Clifford McClure, William Willard.
