Raymond (aka: Ray ) was the oldest of 8 children, Ray was 16 yrs.old when his father had passed away. After his father's passing Ray had joined the army for a short time & had to get out to come home & go to work & suport his mother & 7 siblings ( Elmer Jr.- Neil - Frieda - Dorothy - Glenn - Mary & Linda ) Ray owned & operated a gravel truck & tried to make a living for the family, times were hard so Ray went to Bi-State City Bus Lines in St.Louis,Mo. & lied about his age so he could get a better paying job, he then became a bus driver & went on to make aliving for his family. In 1956 he met Felicite Jane Jones & married her Dec.10-1957 & divorced on Apr.3-1968. Ray had 2 children of his own ( Mary Ann & Sharon Kay ) with Felicite ( Felicite had been married before & had 6 children of her own )Ray had then married Margaret Mary Thompson Nov.12-1976,Ray came down with lung cancer & then passed away at the age of 57. Ray was a great son - brother - husband & a WONDERFUL FATHER & stepfather. He was a very hard working - caring - giving person.
