John1 Hurd, Sr., the brother of Adam1 Hurd and of unconfirnmed parents, was born after 4 February 1613/4 and died 4 February 1681/2 at Stratford, Æ 68 (g.s.). On 15 December 1662 at Stratford, John married Sarah Thomson (q.v. Thompson) and had at least six known children recorded at Stratford (John, Sarah, Hannah, Isaac, Jacob and Mary). The widow Sarah Hurd m. 2) Thomas Barnum of Danbury and died at Stratdord in 1732.
