Gregory Alan Williams, 48, a resident of Hoquiam, died on Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. Mr. Williams was born on Oct. 30, 1958, in Blytheville, Ark., to J.C. and Ethel Earline (Mathenia) Williams. He was raised in Steele, Mo., and graduated from South Pemiscot High School in 1976.

Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served until retiring in 1996, at the rank of Master Sergeant.

On Aug. 21, 1977, he and Michelle Mason were married in Goldsboro, N.C. After Greg's retirement, the couple located in Littlerock, Ark., and in 1999, moved to Hoquiam. During the past 2 1/2 years, he had driven school bus for the Aberdeen School District.

Relatives include his wife, Chelley; two daughters, Megan and Amanda all of the family home in Hoquiam; a brother, Jerry Williams of Steele, Mo.; a sister, Lisa Graham of New Madrid, Mo. A brother, Terry Williams died previously.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam. An urn committal with military honors will follow at Hoquiam's Sunset Memorial Park.
