Judith Diane "Judi" Losee Perry
1943 - 2020

Early Life: Judi was born January 10, 1943, in Wasco, California, into the loving arms of Isaac Addison “Dick” and Evelyn Harriet Wright Losee. When Judi was six months old, the family moved to Utah where they purchased a small farm on Wasatch Boulevard, between Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons, an area called Butler.
❦ Judi's father was a tremendous horseman and his children were put on horses almost before they could walk. She carried a love of horses as well as all other animals for her entire life. At the age of 13, she moved with her family to a dairy farm in Peoa, Utah, in the beautiful Kamas Valley where she milked cows, farmed hay, and of course, rode horses. She always said it was the best life. Judi graduated from South Summit High in 1961, where she was active in drama, band, chorus and art.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: Following graduation, she went to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. When she left the Y, she began working for Sears in Salt Lake City in the customer service department. She worked for Sears as well as other places in some form of customer relations for most of her life, although her favorite job was owning and running Bijou Video in Santaquin, Utah.
❦ Judi met the love of her life, Melvin D. Perry, at Sears. They were married February 25, 1970, and later sealed for eternity in the Provo Utah Temple on February 26, 1985.
❦ Judi cared for and loved many extra children in her home; a home open to friends, and friends of friends. She always had a pot of food on the stove - an open kitchen to all. She was also the best caregiver to her parents and many others over the years.
❦ A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held various positions through the years, sometimes several at once. Her first position was at the age of 14 as Primary organist and Primary teacher. Then, Sunday School secretary, roadshow and play director, chorister, piano accompanist, choir director and organist many times over. She especially loved being homemaking leader in the Relief Society. It gave her a chance to teach the things she loved: art, cooking and crafts, in a spiritual setting. She had a great love of the gospel and a strong testimony always.
❦ Judi somehow found a way of getting out of almost all social gatherings. She preferred one-on-one conversations over group parties as they often overwhelmed her. It is almost poetic that she has left this life at this time [coronavirus pandemic] when so few people are allowed to attend. It is almost like she planned it that way. Judith Diane “Judi” Losee Perry passed from this life March 24, 2020. She was 77.
Family Message: "She left to be with her sweetheart, parents, family and friends who were waiting on the other side. She has missed them all greatly. She did not want to leave us, even though she dearly loved and cared for those of us who remained to finish our work. She is still joyously traveling to the reunion that awaits her. She died of complications related to the many physical disabilities that have assailed her during her lifetime."
Survived By: Melvin had three grown children, two survive: Melvin D. Perry (Beth), Cedar City, UT; and Jim D. Perry (Deborah), Tucson AZ. Mel and Judi had four children together: Sauna M. Gentry (Stephen), Pleasant Grove, UT; Roark C. Perry (Darissa), Mesa, AZ; Slade M. Perry (Rachel), Mona, UT; and Tara D. Ivie (Lewis), Pleasant Grove, UT. She then adopted two more beautiful daughters, Miranda D. Stewart, Santaquin, UT; and Alicia R. (Ashton) Kester, Eureka, UT; and her brother, Dan E. Losee (Tiana), Lehi, UT. Here on earth, till they can be with her again, are her remaining children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Preceded In Death By: Her loving husband, Mel; her parents, their eldest daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Randall Purcell; her elder brother, Richard D. Losee (JoAnn); sister and brother-in-law, Jeri Ann Twede (Bill); son-in-law, Adam; and one grandchild, Ashley.
