Doran Lee Kinyon, 66, died Friday March 20, 2020 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas after a long battle with illness. Doran was born on March 5, 1954 to John Henry and Berniece (Thieler) Kinyon in Phillipsburg, Kansas.

He married Rebecca Pfaff on May 19, 1979 in Brownell, Kansas. Doran was a jack-of-all trades and prided himself in fixing things. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all time spent with his family. Over the years Doran worked for Hembree Well Service and spent the last 28 years with Kansas Natural Gas.

Doran is survived by his wife of 40 years, Becky of the home, his sons- Adam (Kelly) Kinyon of Garden City, Kansas, Dalton Kinyon of Holcomb, Kansas and Charles (Kayla) Kinyon of Larned, Kansas, 3 grandchildren- Connor Kinyon, Ensley and Jensen Kinyon, sisters- Elaine Morgan of Agra, Kansas, Ethel (Howard) Halbert of Denver, Colorado, Evelyn (Lynn) Stones of Smith Center, Kansas along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers- Darrell Kinyon and Dale Kinyon.

There will be a Memorial Service at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Heartland Cancer Center as well as St. Catherine Hospital and Hospice. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Heartland Cancer Center in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
