Brenda “BK” Keller, 69, died peacefully on August 19, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Her unwavering care & devotion to her family, along with her unmatched faith in God supported her through the struggle & gave her peace until the very end. Brenda was born on July 11, 1948 in Houma, LA. She married her true love, Roy W. Keller Jr., in 1972 and soon after moved to Texas where she spent 12 years raising her two daughters. She then moved to Phoenix, AZ where she has lived the last 30 years.
She worked as a special needs preschool assistant, which she truly loved & was amazing with the kids. Her greatest joy in life was being a “Mimi” to her four grandchildren. She loved them with all her heart & they felt it every time they were with her. Brenda was always involved in her church, doing weekly Adoration & Bible Study. She also volunteered & helped organize “HopeFull Hands”, a local group of women who make after-care mastectomy kits for the Mayo Clinic. Brenda was never without a “project” or helping others. She inspired everyone she met without even trying and will be deeply missed by all of them.
She is survived by her devoted, loving husband, Roy W. Keller Jr., her two daughters, Stephanie (Mike) Gallagher & Kristi (Charles) Escarcega, her foster-son Joe (Chantel) Aparicio, her four grandchildren, Payton, Zach, Mia & Kai, as well as her 3 sisters (The Treasures), 2 brothers & many in-laws, nieces, nephews & countless friends that adored her.
Rosary will be recited on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 3550 E. Knox Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85044. Private interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Brenda asked that donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or Mayo Clinic.
