Milton Alex Jones, of Bernardo, Texas, passed away on March 17, 2020 at the age of 86. He was born on October 14, 1933 to August and Augusta (Peikert) Jones in Bernardo, TX.

Milton worked as a lineman for San Bernard Electric Company for 30 years before retiring in 1996. He served as a member of the National Guard and was a member of St. Roch's Catholic Church in Mentz, Texas. He enjoyed spending time with his family, having a beer with the guys, and "mowering" the grass. His hobbies included hunting, river fishing, shooting his bow, and traveling to his vacation home in South Fork, Colorado. He loved spending his days outside in the yard tending to his garden. His greatest joy was arguing with his grandkids and great grandkids.

Milton was preceded in death by: his parents, August and Augusta Jones; wife of 65 years Mary Hearn Jones; son Marvin Jones; daughters, Linda Guevara and Cheryl Putt; grandson Marcus Hill; and son-in-law Douglas Sledge.

Milton is survived by: daughter Teresa Sledge of Sealy, TX; Daughter-in-Law Gretchen Jones of Bernardo, TX grandchildren, Angela Putt of Bernardo, TX, Deidra Garza of Eagle Lake, TX, Jamie Putt of Sealy, TX, Stacey Galabeas of Edna, TX, J.D. Sledge of Sealy, TX, Jessica Sledge of Sealy, TX, Shanna Rosario of Navasota, TX, Ashley Vojtek and husband Cy of Sealy, TX, Wade Jones and wife Fraeli of Bernardo, TX Dylan Jones of Sealy, TX and Kim Ham and husband Jerry of Crockett, TX; twenty-three great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Strieder of Bernardo, TX and Marion Frank and husband Ronnie of Columbus, TX; brother August Henry Jones, Sr. of Alleyton, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Mike Blair, Keith Neuendorff, JD Sledge, David Jones, Wade Jones, and Chad Galabeas. Honorary pallbearers will be Tristan Galabeas and Dylan Jones.

Due to the Covid-19 issues, funeral services for Mr. Jones will be private.
