Sara Ann Honeycutt Jones, 84, Butler, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, March 13, 2020 at her residence.

A native of Poplar, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late James T. & Lillie Adkins Honeycutt.

She was a graduate of Tipton Hill High School and Blanton Business College, Asheville, North Carolina. Sara was a retired employee of the Johnson County School System as an Instructional Assistant at Doe Elementary School. She was a member of Little Doe Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Allen Jones who passed away September 22, 1996 and two brothers: Sam & Burgin Honeycutt.

Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law: Terry & Becky Jones, Butler. Her Grandson: Kelby Jones. Her Sisters: Marie Miller, Weaverville, North Carolina, Arlene (Rhett) Breland, Candler, North Carolina, Nancy Hyatt, Asheville, North Carolina, and Betty Frazier, Candler, North Carolina. Her Brother: John Honeycutt, Poplar, North Carolina. Sister-in-law Shelby Honeycutt. Several nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Monday. Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2020 in the Butler Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Toby Rainbolt officiating. Burial will follow the service.

Active Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be her past students.
