Samuel Jefferson Honeycutt, 78, of Pelham, NC, died November 6, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. Born in Yancey County, NC on April 27, 1939, he was the son of James Turner Honeycutt and Lillie Adkins Honeycutt.
He lived most of his life in Pelham and retired from Dan River Mills, Inc. He was a member of Hope Church and Brummetts Creek Church of the Brethren. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Shelby Barber Honeycutt; a daughter, Jeanne H. Miraglia (Mike); a son, Eric Honeycutt (Jennifer); a brother, John Honeycutt; five sisters, Marie Miller, Arlene Breland, Nancy Hyatt, Betty Frazier and Sara Jones. He was predeceased by a brother, Burgin Honeycutt.
Burial will be in Highland Burial Park
