In memorial of Catherine Hazel Biaggi Richardson, 1922 - 2020
Catherine's parents were James P. and Flora B. Biaggi. They were farmers, who established in Manchester, CA, where Catherine was born on March 8, 1922. Catherines siblings were: Sharon, Marie, Lewis, Russell and Thomas.
Catherine met her husband, Herb Richardson, while attending Point Arena High School. They graduated together in 1940, and married in 1941. Catherine and Herb removed with their children from Stewarts Point and then coastal Manchester to Corning, Tehama County where they bought a ranch. They remained there, the rest of their lives, raising a family and farming on Royal Oaks Ranch, which included beef cattle, a dairy farm, and corn and other crops.
Catherine was a member of the Tehama County Park Board. She was also active in the organizations Native Daughters of the Golden West, and the California Cowbelles. She was the matriarch of the Richardson family of Corning, and loved caring for her family, including her 12 grand children and 26 great grand children.
Catherine rose to any challenge and inspired others to do the same. She gardened, canned, knitted and entertained. Her spirit shinned in all she did for so many. She will be cherished forever, and dearly missed.
