Troy Lowery, 78, Frankfort, went to Heaven at 3:45 a.m. February 21, 2020 at Mulberry Lutheran Home. He was born March 16, 1941, in Langley, Arkansas and moved to Indiana as a small child. He graduated from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis in 1959. He was the son of Ira Lowery and Murphy (Echols) Lowery. He married Phyllis Carberry on October 24, 1999. Troy was an avid auto mechanic, Green Bay Packer fan, and Purdue Boilermaker fan. Troy was known to be a kind, gentle, easy going man. He was Phyllis’ right hand when helping run Hoops for 12 years and most recently the Downtown Diner. One of Troy’s greatest joys was the trips he and Phyllis took together. Troy is a lifetime member of the local Eagles Lodge and a member of the Sons of the Legion, Frankfort Chapter.
He leaves behind his wife, Phyllis; sister Betty Fay Burton, Arkansas; sister, Geraldine Van Dolsen, Indianapolis; son, Troy Allen Lowery (Mindy), Mechanicsburg; son, Charles Wesley Lowery (Deanna), Kirklin; step-son, Mark Williams (Pam), Frankfort; step-daughter, Jennifer Douglass (Pat), Frankfort; grandchildren, Nathan Lowery, Indianapolis, Hannah Lowery (Austin Baker), Kirklin, Madison Douglass, Lafayette, Gwen Douglass, Frankfort, Marissa Williams (Erek Deckard), Frankfort, Olivia Williams, Frankfort; greatgrandchildren, Hudson Baker, Kirklin and Princeton Deckard, Frankfort.
Troy’s mother and father and two brothers, Charles and Billy, preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held on March 10, 2020, at Antioch Church, Pastor Dave Klipp will officiate. Visitation at 1:00 p.m., service at 2:00 p.m
