A native of Ohio, Mrs. Canter worked with her husband on an Ohio chicken farm before coming West. She and her husband, Charles, had been married 68 years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jerry Canter of Jerome, Mich., and Edward Canter of Howell, Mich.; four daughters, Mrs. Bessie Bratz of Baldwin, Mich., Mrs. Edna Audtin of Jackson, Mich., Mrs. Frances Trabis of Plymount, Mich, and Mrs. Helen Votel of Ann Arbor, Mich.; also by 19 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Private family services were held at White's chapel. Her ashes were scattered at sea.
