Peter Ball, of Issaquah, died at his home on Thursday, July 26, 2007. He was 61 years old.

Peter was born on May 25, 1946 in Aston-Under-Lyne, England, the son of Alfred and Mary Ball. When he was three years old the family moved to California. Peter graduated from Freemont High School in Sunnyvale, California. He entered the United States Army and following basic training he entered Officer Candidate School and graduated as a 1st Lieutenant. Peter served during in Viet Nam and Korea. At the time of his discharge he was serving as a Captain. Following his tour of duty, he attended Evergreen Community College in San Jose, California. Peter worked for Pepsi Cola as a sales representative. He moved to Issaquah, Washington in 1980 and pursued a career in wholesale foods. Peter retired in 2004.

He was a member of St. Louise Catholic Church, the Italian Club, Puget Sound Anglers, The 9th Infantry veterans and a former member of Ducks Unlimited. Peter was an avid sportsman enjoying fishing, duck hunting, and big game archery. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs Deke, Katie, and Woody.

Survivors include his wife Jeannette, of Issaquah; daughters Kimberly Ball, of Issaquah and Monica Denton (Travis), of Missoula, Montana; sons Peter Ball (Debbe), of Berkey, Ohio and Mark Krier, of Sammamish, Washington; three brothers, Dave Ball (Cheryl) , of Snohomish, Geoff Ball (Debbie), of Everett and Darryl Ball (Carolyn), of Kent; and five grandchildren, Cailen, Mackenzie, and Dylan Ball, and Taylor and Makenna Denton.

A funeral mass will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at St. Louise Catholic Church, 141 156th Ave SE, Bellevue, WA 98007. Burial will be held 12:30 P.M. Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St., Kent, WA 98042.
