He was born in Lincoln Co, NC, son of the late Ross Lee Hoffman and Alice Arrowood Hoffman.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Jane Hoffman; and sisters, Catherine Wallace and Romarien Blanton.

Roger is survived by his son, Ross Hoffman and wife Tammy; daughter, Evelynn Owensby and husband Rick; grandchildren, Alexis Hoffman, Matthew Hoffman and Gregg Owensby and wife Jessica; and great-grandchildren, Jessalynn Owensby, Grace Owensby and Anna Owensby.

Funeral: Sharon Freewill Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Odell Cook

Burial will be held at the church cemetery.
