Marion Cora (Coutu) Paoletti, 90, of Greenfield, Mass., and formerly of Buckland, Mass., died Feb. 28, 2011, at Buckley HealthCare Center in Greenfield, Mass.

She was born in Colrain, Mass., Sept. 12, 1920, daughter of Joseph and Cora (Galipault) Coutu. She attended the local grammar school and graduated from Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls, Mass.

Prior to retirement several years ago, she had worked at the former Kendall Co. in Griswoldville, Mass., as a secretary.

During the 1960s, she helped serve dinners for the Shelburne Falls Kiwanis Club. She also housecleaned for many families in the area.

Mrs. Paoletti enjoyed family outings and gatherings. She also enjoyed growing indoor plants.

She was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Shelburne Falls.

Survivors include her daughter, Toni Ann Paoletti of Keene; her son, Robert A. Paoletti and his wife, Sue, of Mountain Top, Pa.; a brother, Irvin Coutu of Fresno, Calif.; two sisters, Phyllis Shaw of Buckland, Mass., and Muriel Robbins of Greenfield, Mass.; two grandsons, Andrew Paoletti and his wife, Sirosh Bokhari, and Anthony Paoletti and his wife, Jennifer; two great-grandsons, Dominic and Christopher Paoletti; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Her husband, Antonio S. Paoletti, died in October 2004.

A liturgy of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shelburne Falls. Rev. Paul Bombardier, pastor, will officiate. Spring burial will be held in West Branch Cemetery, Colrain, Mass.

A calling hour will be held Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, Shelburne Falls, Mass.

The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Mrs. Paoletti’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 59 Bobala Road, Holyoke, Mass. 01040; or to Parkinson’s disease research.
