CROSS - Pauline Cross, passed away on May 21, 2007. Born in Illinois, she married Joseph Ashbrook and moved to California. Following the death of her husband, at an early age, and with two small children, Pauline began a long career in the business world. She worked in merchandising, real estate in the Pasadena area, and served as wedding director for many years at Santa Anita Church in Arcadia. She was married to Gerald Cross for 62 years. The two of them traveled extensively, were avid bridge players, and enjoyed a wide circle of friends. She was a longtime and very active member of P.E.O, Chapter DH. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald and her son, James Cross. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by her daughter, Jo Ann Williams, of Sierra Madre. She was "Mimi" to her three granddaughters, Vikki and her husband Larry Ankrum, Marilyn and her husband Larry Frapwell, and Nancy and her husband Michael Page. She also leaves eight great-grandchildren. Pauline had an enduring faith in God that led to a life of positive thinking and living. Private services will be held at Pioneer Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Madre. In lieu of flowers or donations, and as she would have wished, please remember Pauline as you work in your garden, or entertain and enjoy good friends, or while taking a walk on the beach at sunset.
