Memorial services were held at Unity Center of Columbia, 1600 W Broadway,on Monday, Feb. 5.
Born in St. Joseph on August 20, 1945 to Theodore and Ruth Marrens, Cheryl graduated from Central High School and later received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Education from University of Missouri-Columbia.
Cheryl taught high school English at Central High in St. Joseph after graduating college, but then moved back to Columbia where she met the love of her life, got married, started a family and became a business owner.
Cheryl owned New Beginning Consignment Clothing for over 30 years until she retired at the age of 69.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Ruth Marrens; and her grand-daughter, Imani.
