Obituary
Megan Marie Bishop left her family and friends to go to her Heavenly father on Thursday April 25th when her warm, caring and loving heart failed.
Megan is survived by her parents Jeff and Phyllis, siblings Tanya "Sissy" Borah (Rob) and niece Madison Rose, Todd Borah (Teresa) nephew Garrett and niece Grace, Kevin Bishop (Sarah) and nephew Daniel, Siblings Leo Peak, Greg, Kristina and Jeffrey Bishop, Leo Peak, Miah Davies-Kelly. Grandparents Stan and Kay Bishop, Gayland Manwiller and numerous Aunts and Uncles and extended Family.
Megan joins Justin L. Bishop, grandparents Philip and Betty Rasor, cousin Jarod Ball, Guardian Angel Mike "Uncle Duck" Pruitt, Grandmother Georgette Borah and Uncle Jimmy Borah.
Megan was born in Bremerton and lived her entire life in Belfair. She attended Sand Hill Elementary, Hawkins Middle School and graduated in 2007 from North Mason High School. She was a Job's Daughters Member of Honor at Bethel 43.
From a very young age Megan had empathy and compassion and knew when you were feeling down. She would pat your head or hand and give you loves. She would hover near you until she knew you were feeling better. Megan always showed unconditional love to the many foster children that came into the family's life and would be sad when they left.
Megan was the shining star in everyone's lives. Her face would light up when she saw you, yell your name and give you the greatest "HUG." She was loved by all who met her. Megan loved to give fist bumps and slide high fives. Megan had such a giving heart; she would find something in her room and insist that she was giving it to someone she chose.
She was the "Wind Beneath" her dad's Wings and copilot while he was running errands. She would insist that her dad take her to her "finger pokes" because then she could beg him to get tacos from "Taco Box" aka Jack in the box.
Megan loved her watch; she would always look at it to see when it was "PM" because then she knew she could have lunch.
Megan's most favorite things to do were color on her tablet, her mess free color pages and watching TV. She loved camping, boating, crossword puzzles, bowling, music, dancing and most of all her JOBIES.
Megan would put her all into everything that she did. For her 13th (Golden Birthday) in 1999 she celebrated with a blood drive and fundraiser for Children's Hospital in Seattle. 72 units of blood were drawn and most of those were first time blood donors. The funds were given to the Children's Uncompensated Care Fund.
Megan raised funds for Relay for Life. During Relay she had cards with her name on them, and she would go up to people and ask for "bucks". Megan was a real charmer. Megan was really looking forward to helping her cousin Spencer Pruitt and Aunt Cheri raise money for Fred Hutch this year.
Megan celebrated her 30th birthday in March 2016 with an grand formal party at The Kitsap Golf and Country Club, given in her honor by sister Tanya. Megan was a dancing queen and had the time of her life. Megan donated all her birthday money to Relay for Life.
Megan will forever be missed but always with us in everything that we do. Fly high with the Angels sweet Megan, until we meet again.
Megan loves to party.Potluck following reception at 4:00 pm. For more information please email Phyllis at [email protected] or facebook group page.
