Liberty - Mrs. Earline Davis Bowie, 72, widow of Paul E. Bowie, Jr. of 203 Palmetto St., died Wednesday.
She was born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late G. M. and Perdita Friddle Davis. Mrs. Bowie was the Director of the Liberty Senior Citizen's Center and a member of Liberty First Baptist Church.
Surviving are five sons, Paul E. Bowie III of Liberty, Dr. Patrick C. Bowie of LaGrange, Ga., Sephen A. Bowie of Easley, Gregory M. Bowie and Donald E. Bowie, both of Spartanburg; a brother, Robert A. Davis of Miami, Fla.; and fifteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Saturday at the Liberty First Baptist Church, with Rev. Harry Lee Thomas and Dr. Dean Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Patrick, Brad Brett, and Anthony Bowie, John Devore, and Dr. Charles Busha.
The body is at the Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens, where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Friday.
The family is at the home of Paul E. Bowie III, 25 Hiland Terrace in Liberty.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Liberty Senior Citizen's Center, Liberty, S.C.
