Mrs. S. V. Meader died last Wednesday after several months of suffering which she bore with much patience. She will be sadly missed in the community, church and Sunday Schools, and the Ladies' Mite Society, of which she has been one of the most efficient members for many years. And especially will she be missed in the home, where she was such a helpful wife and mother. During her last sickness she has been tenderly cared for by her daughter, Mrs. Julia Milligan, and Mrs. Lou Stewart of Hardwick was also able to be with her mother much of the time. She leaves a husband, two sons and three daughters. Three other children have died.

Funeral services were held at the church, Rev. F. E. Currier of Cabot officiating. The bearers were Fred Gile, Bert McGinnis, Vic Stewart and F. B. Milligan. The casket was covered with beautiful floral offerings from the family and friends and Ladies' Mite Society. Interment was in the North Walden Cemetery.

Those from out of town to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Whitehill and Francis Hastie of Barnet, MR. and Mrs. Stevenson and Mrs. Guthrie of Peacham, Mrs. George Gile and Mrs. Nancy Hunt of West Danville, Dr. and Mrs. McSweeney and Mrs. Helen Landry of St. Johnsbury, A. M. Meader of Whitinsville, Mass., Bert McGinnis of Franklin, N.H., Mr. and Mrs. Vic Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Joe La Joy and Mrs. Thomas of Hardwick.
