Dorothy McQueen, 93 of Grapeland, passed away March 3, 2020. She was born November 25, 1926 to John Wood & Martha Lewis Nealy. She retired from nursing at the age of 82.
Our beloved mother and grandmother Dorothy Aileen Nealy McQueen was a strong, beautiful, loving, caring, independent woman. She loved spending time with all her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook, sew, read, quilt, garden and take care of numerous animals. Everything she did was with love only a mother and grandmother can give. Her legacy, love, and memories will live on through each of us. We were very blessed to have had her for 93 years. Our family has gained another beautiful angel in heaven.
Mrs. McQueen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edgar McQueen, daughter Shirley Gwen Pearson, six sisters and eight brothers. She is survived by daughters Martha Jane Parker, Frances Ruth Weisinger, Phyllis Elaine Jones and Sharon Jeannette Luman, son Raymond L. McQueen, twenty grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Justin Schleiff, Stephen Barnes, Joshua Owens, Cody Williams, Dakota Williams, Wendell Williams and Gary
