Alvoyd (A.C.) Fails passed quietly into the arms of his Lord on April 19, 2011. He was born on August 10, 1925, in Proctor, TX, to Ambrose and Mary Etta Fails. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mildred, and daughter, Arleen. A.C. is survived by his son, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; his brother and sister. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II and then worked in aircraft maintenance at Kelly AFB. Thereafter, he enjoyed working as a bus driver for NEISD, and then ran a computer business, “Never Fails Computer Service.” He was a member of Grace Bible Church and Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church, and served valuably as an elder there for over 40 years. He was an energetic and inspiring Bible teacher and a most beloved member of Grace OPC. He was a devoted husband, father, and churchman. He loved friendly conversation and his conversation would always turn to the things of the Lord. A.C. will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace and perfect joy in the presence of his Lord and His saints as he awaits the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in glory and judgment.
