In the 1820 US Census, enumerated 7 August 1820, in the state of Ohio, Fayette County, Hillsboro, the Benj GOLIDAY family includes 1 FWM under 10 Chesley Griffith, 1 FWM 10 thru 15 Uriah Pierson, 1 FWM 26 thru 44 Benjamin, 1 FWF under 10 unknown daughter, 1 FWF 26 thru 44, wife Ruth. In the 1830 US Census, in the state of Ohio, Clinton County, Union, Benjamin GOLLADAY family includes 1 FWM 5 thru 9, 1 FWM 10 thru 14, 1 FWM 40 thru 49, 1 FWF 15 thru 19, 1 FWF 40 thru 49. See census series M19, roll 129, page 129.

The 1840 US Census, in the State of Illinois, Vermilion County, finds the GOLLIDAY family of 1 FWM 15 thru 19, 1 FWM 50 thru 59, and 1 FWF 60 thru 69. See Census Series M704, Roll 71, Page 117.

Following the death of his first wife Ruth, Benjamin married Sarah L Keith on 8 June 1844, in Vermilion Co, IL

On 17 March 1845, in Illinois, Benjamin Gollady purchased 19.34 acres, at $4.11 per acre, for $79.49.

In the 1850 US Census, effective 1 June, in the State of Illinois, Vermilion County, District 21, Benjn GOLLIDAY 68 and second wife Sarah GOLLIDAY 49, are recorded living with the Daniel and Emeline STACKHOUSE family. Benjamin is a Carpenter, with Real Estate valued at $800. See Census Series M432, Roll 130, Page 342 B.

On 9 Feb 1854, the will of Benjamin Golliday was probated in Vermilion County, Illinois, Will Records, Book C-E, 1848 - 1864.Information has not been found to confirm that Benjamin is buried in this cemetery, but is quite probable that he is buried in the same cemetery as his first wife.
