"Local and General." The W.A. Record (Perth, WA : 1888 - 1922) 13 February 1890: page 6.
WE regret to have to announce the death of Mr. George Fraser, which sad event took place at his residence early yesterday morning, after a very short illness.
Deceased was long known and highly respected in this city, in which he worked at his profession as a cabinet-maker and carpenter for a number of years past. Mr. Fraser was formerly a sergeant in the army, and served throughout the Crimean war. Just previous to his death, he was received into the Church. He leaves a wife and family to mourn his loss. R.I.P. [4]

W.A. Record (Perth, WA : 1888 - 1922), Thursday 6 March 1890, page 6
AN APPEAL is made to the Charitable Public on behalf of the Widow FRASER, who, by the death of her husband, has been left with the sole charge of a very large family of little children. During the lifetime of their father, these children were never the least burden to any, except their parents. It is well known to many citizens of Perth, that the late George Fraser was a very in dustrious and steady man. He worked for a great number of years in Perth, at his trade as a Cabinet-maker, but with so large and helpless a family, it was impossible for him to make provision for so unforeseen an event, as his early death. God, however, has been pleased to take away the bread-winner, and it is hoped that some few kind friends will aid the bereaved widow, in her great loss and distress. Subscriptions sent to the care of the Record will be duly acknowledged.
