Folk Musician. One of the leading Irish folk musicans, he was a member of the legendary "Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem" band from 1955 to 1969. In 1969 he left the Clancys to pursue a successful solo career. His records include "Four Green Fields", "Gentle Annie", "Red is the Rose", "The Rambles of Spring", "The Winds Are Singing Freedom", and "Farewell to Carlingford", and "The Bard of Armagh".
