Debra Fay "Debbie" Nolan Black of Shreveport, Louisiana was born on April 11, 1954 in Delhi, Louisiana and passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the Willis Knighton Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Sue Black; parents, F.A. "Straw" Nolan and Irene Borden Nolan.
She was baptized at the Forest Methodist Church in Forest, Louisiana. She served her country by serving in the United States Army. She worked several years as owner and operator of her own hair salon in Pioneer, Louisiana before moving to Shreveport, Louisiana. She worked at Olson's Hair Salon for Mrs. Clarice Olson ,who was not only her employer, but was a loving and devoted friend. Debbie adored her coworkers and her clients as well.
Debbie is survived by her brother, Donald Ray Nolan of Oklahoma ; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Jeff Sullivan of Forest, Louisiana; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; her life long sister in love, Terrie Lynn Williamson Harris and a host of friends; Don Kinsey, Kevin Parks and Kenny Powell and Clarice Olson were faithful and loving friends.
A memorial service for Debbie will be held at 2PM, Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Cox Funeral Home, 200 East Noble Street, Oak Grove, LA 71263, with the visitation starting at 1PM. Kenny Powell will be doing the memorial service. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
