Merle Blanche Waters Peratis passed away after experiencing complications from a hip fracture.

She was born in Rigby, Idaho to Hannah Leona Ossmen and Deloss Clark Waters. She married Tommy John Peratis.

Merle received her BA Degree from BYU.

She started a ceramic business in 1949, and she developed it to become the largest wholesale retail ceramic supplier in the Intermountain West.

Merle was an accomplished ceramic artist and business woman.

She was the Co-Founder of Ceramic Distributors of America and served on many committees to advance the art of ceramics and pottery.

She always conducted her business with the highest degree of honesty and ethical standards.

Merle was kind and generous.

She donated to many charities and causes, and she supported local schools with donated supplies.

She treated her employees with utmost care and respect.

Merle is survived by her daughters, Jeri Peratis, Janelle (Lee Cushing) Peratis; grandson, Joe S. (Sonja) Warner; and great-granddaughter, Megan Warner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom.
