195 Sergeant James Strang, 4th Contingent, Queensland Imperial Bushmen. From Dalby, Western Downs, Queensland, Australia. Served in South Africa during the Second Anglo Boer War 1899-1902. Seriously wounded at Houtkraal, on the railway line about 30km North of De Aar, Northern Cape, South Africa on 13 Feb 1901. Died of his wounds 3 days later. He is also commemorated on the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, Australia and the Queensland Boer War memorial in Anzac Square, Ann Street, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia (see the Virtual War Memorial, Australia - https://vwma.org.au/explore/memorials/2756).
