Bernabe Furgenico Garcia Sr., 92, passed away on January 8, 2000. He was born on January 16, 1907, in El Prado, New Mexico, the son of Maria Jacinta (Miera) and Juan Francisco "Frank" Garcia

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marina (Gonzales).

He is survived by his children, Preciliana Garcia, Tita James (Nick), all of El Prado, and Bemie Garcia (Connie) of Taos; five grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Frank Garcia, Neft Garcia, and Lucy Martinez, all of Pueblo, CO, Teodora Teddy" Struck of Taos, and Eliseo Garcia of El Prado.
