Mary Lois VanBeber was born September 2, 1925 to Arthur Granville and Celia Charity VanBeber in the town of Leach, Oklahoma. Her mother first named her Ollie Lee, but her mother being a devout christian, while praying one day she said God instructed her to rename her Mary Lois. She acquired a lawyer and made the change. Mary attended Leach schools and helped her parents and 9 siblings work the farm.

They moved to Muskogee and she attended Okay and Porter high schools. She received a business degree from Draughon's Business College and she had several secretarial jobs.

After the war, Mary met and married Roy J. Coffman and they had two children, Lynn and Judi. She was a devoted wife and mother and raised her family in church. She taught many different Sunday school classes for children as well as ladies classes in her later years. Mary loved her church.

She became an LPN and worked at Muskogee General Hospital as well as the Odd Fellows and Rebecca's Home in Checotah.

After Roy passed away, she moved to Country Gardens Assisted Living where she was a blessing to the many residents there.

Mary was an excellent seamstress for many years as well as a quilter; making many quilts for all her grandchildren. She done alterations and repairs for the residents as well as making them all beautiful bibs to wear to the dining table. She really helped to cut down on laundry!

Mary read her Bible and prayed for her family every day. Her prayer for her family was that they would know God as she did. They would know Him to be the gracious, miraculous, forgiving, merciful, loving good Father; always there to lift them up in time of need, and to lead them through life and safely lead them home to Heaven one day.
She will be greatly missed by all!

She is survived by her son, Lynn Coffman and wife Carolyn; daughter, Judi Carlson and husband Bob, all of Wainwright; grandchildren, Tiffany Puckett, Jeff Coffman, Brent Lawson, Matthew Carlson, and Brandi Alderman; great-grandchildren, Tyler Root, Brittany Root, Alex Puckett, Bailey Puckett, Bradley Carlson, Alizay Carlson, Kelsey Carlson, Kayleigh Tippit, and Sophia Carlson; great-great-grandchildren, Paisley Carney, Aidyn Carney, Anthony Carlson, and Aaliyah Tunley; along with other family members and friends.
