Betty W. Franklin, 94 of Greenwood, Indiana passed away February 16, 2020. She was born on August 6, 1925 in Owen County, Indiana to the late Goldie & Pierce White.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Morris S. Franklin.
She is survived by two sons, Kent (Linda) Franklin, Kevin (Rene) Franklin; five grandchildren, Mandy Franklin, Melody Franklin, Zane Franklin, Alyshia (Derek) Madlem, Karlyn (Anthony) Palmer; three great grandchildren, Hayden, Dakota, and Ivan.
Betty was a long time member of Greenwood Church of Christ. Betty and her husband Morris worked together for over 30 years building custom homes on the Southside of Indianapolis. Nothing delighted her more than watching her grandchildren grow up. She was raised on a farm in Owen County, Indiana during the Great Depression and she always remained a farm girl at heart. Among her favorite things to do were gardening, yard work and tending to her flowers beds.
A visitation will take place Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main St. Greenwood, IN.
A celebration will be held 10:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery in Spencer, Indiana.
