Antonia Watson Bell, 82, a life-long resident of Roanoke, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. She was born on July 13, 1937 to James and Ida Heath Watson.
She grew up in a supportive and loving family. As a part of her maturation, Antonia accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized at the Peace & Goodwill Baptist Church in Roanoke, Alabama. She later united with Wehadkee Baptist Church. Her devotion to God and support of others were hallmarks of her life’s calling to serve.
After marrying the love of her life, Antonia devoted herself to the nurture of her husband and family for the next 65 years. They had six children.
Antonia was a people person and never met a stranger. Those who had the pleasure of spending any time with her knew that she was an ardent follower of Jesus Christ. Her greatest desire was for her family, friends, and acquaintances to know the Lord as she did. She actively engaged in the work of ministry through her involvement at the local, district, state and national levels.
She is Survived by: her husband of 65 years; six children; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters; her sisters-in-law; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Clark Memorial Funeral Service, 252 LaFayette Highway, Roanoke, Alabama.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, 7485 County Road 278, Roanoke, Alabama.
