Walter David Bowlby, 89, of Little Rock passed from this life on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

He was born September 19, 1930 in DeWitt, Arkansas to the late Samuel A. and Thelma MacDonald Bowlby.

Mr. Bowlby proudly served his country in the United States Army and Navy. His honor and courage earned him a Purple Heart Commendation. He was a man of great commitment.

David loved his family, especially his wife and daughter. He will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Emilie K. Bowlby; siblings, Paul, Samuel and Frank Bowlby; sisters, Fern Stallings and Maryjohn Bowlby.

Survivors include his daughter, Sylvia Bowlby of Little Rock; siblings, Beth Nelsen of Little Rock, Tom Bowlby of Dumas; nieces and nephews, Adam Nelsen of Little Rock, Autumn Nelsen of Little Rock, Lisa Sheckell of Missouri, Stephanie Gregg of Missouri, Stacy Bowlby of Nevada, Misty Bowlby of Searcy, Crystal Simmons of Oklahoma and Ray Welch of Japan, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be private.
