Laura Bauer-Kraus Laura E. Bauer-KraUS, 86, of Harmony House Care Center and formerly of 725 Fowler St., died Saturday, Feb. 13, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

She was bom May 18, 1906 in Hancock County, Wis., the daughter of Manville and Martha Blair Mumford.

She married Frank P. Bauer in December 1923 in Indepen- dence. He died in December 1953.

She then married Nicholas Kraus in May 1958 in Waterloo. He died in 1979

Mrs. Bauer-Kraus was employed by Rath Packing Co. for 25 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Miller of Waterloo; two sons, Marvin Bauer and Richard Bauer, both of Water- loo; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Wilma Clendennen of Gassville, Ark.; and a brother, Donald Mumford of Port- land, Ore.;

she was preceded in death by' a sister, Fern Gru- ver, and two brothers, Wilbur Mumford and Laroy Mumford.

Services will be a.m. Tuesday at Garden View Chapel with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to services Tuesday at the chapel.

Memorials may be made to the family.
