BERGERON, ALFRED S. "AL"


A retired contractor and a lifelong resident of Livonia, he died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Houston. He was 75. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, Livonia, from 9 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003. Entombment in False River Memorial Park Mausoleum. Survived by his mother-in-law, Eula Bergeron; two daughters, Lisa Jarreau and husband John, and Anita LeJeune and husband Glynn; a son, Jeff Bergeron and wife Becky; a sister, Ivy Lee "Miss Lee" Neal; a brother, W.O. Bergeron and wife Dene; a brother-in-law, Tommy and wife Myrna Bergeron; a friend, Vera Wilson; grandchildren, Mindi Akin, Scott Bergeron, Tara Jarreau, James Jarreau, Derek LeJeune and Taylor LeJeune; and great-grandchildren, Karlie Akin and Camryn Akin. Preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Maxine Bergeron; and mother and father, Hazel and Ivy Bergeron. Pallbearers will be Tommy Bergeron, Scott Bergeron, James Jarreau, Derek LeJeune, Taylor LeJeune, Jimmy Akin and LeeRoy Mingo. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers.
