After a long life of service and humor for family and friends, Robert McQuarrie "Penny" Penrose died April 4, 2002, in Bountiful, Utah.

Born Aug 16, 1910 to loving parents Frank William and Ruth McQuarrie Penrose, in St. George, UT. They preceded him in death, along with one brother, Clyde M. "Bud" Penrose; and four sisters, Marjorie Johnson, Lu Bond, Mildred Penman, Dixie Lloyd.

He shared his birthdate with his sweetheart, Kathryn Brown, and they married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Aug 17, 1931. They celebrated 70 wonderful years of marriage in 2001. Their two daughters and their families were a joy and constant comfort in their lives on the Avenues, and for the past months in Bountiful, UT.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; daughters, Bonnie K. (Allen) Hill, Robyn (Ken) Thompson; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; and two sisters, Ann P. Leighty, Jean P. (Martin) Thomas.

Sincere appreciation to the care givers at Bountiful House and South Davis Community Hospital for their kind care and concern.

Services will be Tues. April 9, 2002, 12 noon, Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, where friends may call 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
