Sue Elizabeth Carder Jones, 87, passed away on November 3, 2020. She was born on April 14, 1933 to the late Love and Lora Walker Carder in Campbellsburg, KY.
Sue loved Campbellsburg, where she owned and operated Sue’s Beauty Shop for approximately sixty years and Country Charm antique store for many of those years. She loved spending time with her customers. She had a wonderful giving heart for helping others and often cooked delicious food and delivered meals to those who were sick or in need. Some of her greatest joys in life were her family, God, cooking and gardening. Sue was a lifelong member of Campbellsburg Christian Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Pam Johnson (Dale) of Pulaski, WI; four grandchildren Kelli Nelson Brown (Brian) of Campbellsburg, KY, Rodney Bright of Shepherdsville, KY, Michelle Wolpert (Patrick “Scrappy”) of Shelbyville, KY, and Jarrett Jones of Campbellsburg, KY; five great-grandchildren Blake Nelson, Jordan Bright, Zach Nelson, Kerigan Poole, and Lucas Wolpert, and many loving family and friends all of whom will miss her dearly.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents; her husband DeMint “Paw” Jones, Jr.; one son Carroll DeMint Jones; four sisters Mary Frances Coates, Dorothy Spence, Nancy Clifford, and Emma Jean Ginn; two brothers Jack and James Carder; son-in-law David Bright; grandson-in law Steve Nelson; great-great-granddaughter Mila Zade Nelson.
A private graveside service will be held at Campbellsburg Cemetery, Campbellsburg, KY.
