Slocomb-- Mrs.Alice Smith Bass,75, died Friday night at
her residence here following an extended illness.
A native of Geneva County, Mrs Bass had lived in Slocomb for
the past 20 years. She was the wife of the late W.W. Bass,
and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the New
Hope Primitive Baptist Church with Revs. Porter Davis
and Rev. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the New
Hope Cemetery with Ward- Wilson- Brown- Service
Funeral Home in Dothan directing.
The body will be at the home in Slocomb until funeral time.
Survivors include one son, Doyle W. Bass, Slocomb;
two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Williford and Miss Mary Bell Bass,
Slocomb; three brothers, Neal and Steve Smith, Slocomb Rt.1;
Lewis Smith, Graceville Rt.3; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Newton,
Dothan Rt.2, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
