Eighty-year old Albert Lewis Sulzer, rural Fennimore, was found dead at his home, Sunday, January 23, 1983. Born on February 8, 1902, in Cashion in Kingfisher County, OK, Mr. Sulzer was one of three children born to Charles N. and Berl (Allen) Sulzer. His sister, Esther, died in Oklahoma at the age of five. The Sulzer family moved to Wisconsin in 1914. During his life, Mr. Sulzer farmed, worked in a post office, a car dealership and with his father in a funeral home. He joined the Fennimore United Methodist Church in 1919 and was a World War II veteran and a member of the Whitish-Funk American Legion Post 194. He was preceded in death by his wife whom he married in Fennimore on June 1, 1946. The former Vida Farris died on February 5, 1981. A brother, Harry died in 1956. Mr. Sulzer is survived by a niece and two nephews who live in Madison, Jane, Robert and Harry Sulzer III. Private memorial services will be held at a later date, and memorials may be given to the Fennimore United Methodist Church.
