She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Jacobs, by her brother Butch Merritt and her sisters Betty Wheeler and Carol Azavato.
She is survived by her daughters, Waunita (Gallie) Goodman and Teresa (Dick) White, her grandchildren; Melissa, Mariah, and Mandy, and her great grandchildren: Maddy, Callie, and Travis.
Joyce spent most of life in both Streetsboro and Ravenna. She worked for Ametek Electric and retired after 35 years. Joyce was a feisty woman, who enjoyed fishing, adored animals, but most of all loved spending time with her family. Calling hours will be held on Friday February 3, 2017 from 5-7PM at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes’ Streetsboro Chapel. A memorial service will take place, at the conclusion of calling hours.
