Louis Doehn of 136 River Rd.. E Kitchener, died at his home May 22. 1968 after a lengthy illness, he was 89.
Born in Germany, March 24. 1879, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Doehn. He lived in the Twin City area for the past 87 years and was a member of Zion United Church. He was a market gardener for many years. He retired in 1958.
Surviving are his wife, the former Augusta Hinz, whom he married in Kitchener Jan. 21, 1914; two sons. Wesley of Kitchener and Albert of RR 2. Kitchener; five daughters. Mrs. Harry (Viola) Filsinger and Mrs. Stanley (Selma) Swartzentruber, both of Kitchener. Mrs. Elverne (Frieda) Hallman of RR 2. Petersburg. Mrs. Andrew (Edna) Filsinger of RR 2. Baden, and Mrs. Gerald (Pearl) Gingerich of Zurich; 12 grandchildren.
He was the last surviving member of his family. He was predeceased by one brother and two sisters.
The body was at the Ratz-Bechtcl Funeral Home where Rcv. F. M. Faist and Rev. G.F. Barthel conducted the funeral service Friday at 3 p.m. Burial was in Memory Gardens.
